Frequently asked questions

Everything about operation, pellets, care, delivery and payment.

How long does the Feuertube burn on one fill?

The tank holds 3 kg of pellets, which lasts around two hours on average. You can top up at any time while it is burning.

Do I need electricity or gas?

No. The Feuertube burns wood pellets only. A small gas torch is supplied for lighting.

How do I adjust the flame height?

With the ventilation grille at the back: open, the flame rises to the hat; closed, it drops to about half height.

What happens in the wind?

If a gust blows the flame out, smoke is produced. Hold the torch to the ignition opening for a second and the Feuertube will carry on burning.

Can the Feuertube be left out in the rain?

No. Protect it from rain and dew both in use and when idle. Do not use it in the rain; when idle, use a cover or roll it to a dry spot.

How do I clean the glass tube?

Wipe it several times with a damp wiper over a soft surface, or spray on a degreaser and rinse with water – only when cold.

Which pellets are suitable?

Standard 6 mm wood pellets. We recommend certified quality (ENplus A1), as it burns evenly and leaves little ash.

How can I order?

Via WhatsApp or using the enquiry form on the product page. We will personally confirm availability, delivery date and payment terms. We deliver throughout Switzerland.

How do I assemble the Feuertube?

It consists of three parts: base, glass tube and hat. Insert the glass tube through the ring into the holder on the base and put the hat on top – no tools, in a few minutes. Fire-resistant sealing cords keep glass and metal from touching.

How long until the flame is at full height?

Lighting with the supplied burner takes 20–30 seconds. After about 20 minutes the fire has caught the remaining pellets and burns at full flame.

How often do I need to empty the ash?

Little ash is produced; emptying the drawer at the front every 5–6 hours is enough. If the flame drops, move the grate by its handle left and right a few times without pulling it out.

Can I use the Feuertube under a roof or on a balcony?

The Feuertube is intended for open outdoor areas only, not under a roof or on covered balconies. On balconies, open fire is also often restricted by house rules or regulations – please check first.

Where is the best place to put it?

On a level, firm surface outdoors, away from flammable materials such as parasols, awnings and cushions. Apply the castor brake. A sheltered spot stops gusts from blowing the flame out.

How do I store the Feuertube and pellets over winter?

Store the Feuertube dry and protected from rain and dew, after emptying the ash drawer and cleaning the glass when cold. Keep pellets in closed bags in a dry place.

Which versions are available?

Firetube Premium in rust-free stainless steel, with a stainless-steel hat and a wheeled base. Plus Firetube Classic in black, made of powder-coated steel with stainless-steel handles.

How big and heavy is it, and how much heat does it give?

We are happy to send dimensions, weight and heat output on request, and to advise you personally on your seating area.

Is the Feuertube suitable for restaurants and hotels?

Yes. It needs neither gas bottles nor a power connection and moves on castors. For hospitality businesses we provide a quote by quantity.

Where do you deliver and how fast?

We deliver throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein, usually within 5–10 working days of confirming your order. We will email you the delivery date.
